Summary

On November 11, 2025, multiple servers were partially or fully unavailable between 00:56 and 02:34. The outage occurred during scheduled maintenance that was intended to be non-disruptive.

Root Cause

The planned failover during network maintenance took longer than anticipated, causing servers to lose access to the underlying storage and became unavailable.

Resolution

The maintenance was aborted and the servers were restarted, after which services were restored. To prevent similar disruptions during future maintenance, a thorough investigation of the failover process was conducted together with our vendor. Based on the findings, network configurations and upgrade procedures have been adjusted.

The scheduled maintenance has been completed. A post-mortem will be provided in the coming weeks, once the investigations with our supplier have been completed.

Update

After applying patches on the network layer, we are experiencing a partial outage on our virtualization platform. Engineers are currently investigating the issue. Customers may experience downtime on some services until the issue has been resolved.
